Level IV Alumina Ceramic & PE Body Armor
Engineered for high-threat environments, our Level IV body armor combines a hardened alumina ceramic strike face with a lightweight UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene) backing layer. The ceramic helps break and disrupt incoming projectiles, while the PE backing captures remaining fragments and helps manage energy and back-face deformation.
This composite construction provides a balance of high ballistic protection, structural strength, and weight efficiency compared with traditional steel armor. The armor is designed for demanding operational environments where rifle-rated protection and mobility are both important.
Construction: Alumina Ceramic + UHMWPE
Protection: Level IV / rifle-rated, when specifically tested and certified to the applicable standard
Design: Hard ceramic strike face with PE composite backing
Applications: Tactical, military, law-enforcement, and high-threat environments
Actual protection depends on the specific plate design, testing, and certification. Under NIJ 0101.06, Level IV corresponds to testing against .30-caliber armor-piercing rifle ammunition; the newer NIJ 0101.07 standard uses updated threat and testing classifications.
